Ben
Carson is Dishonest Concerning Seventh-day Adventism
by
Russell Earl Kelly, PHD, September 13, 2015
Dr.
Ben Carson is dishonest when it comes to his faith. As an ordained
Seventh-day Adventist elder and Sabbath-School teacher, he is fully aware of its doctrinal teachings. Yet he manages to hide his real faith from public view and has done so for decades.
Seventh-day Adventist elder and Sabbath-School teacher, he is fully aware of its doctrinal teachings. Yet he manages to hide his real faith from public view and has done so for decades.
The
Seventh-day Adventists’ doctrinal statement and its prophetess Ellen G White
teach opposite from what Carson often teaches in public. Therefore Carson should
either renounce the SDA Church and Ellen G. White or stop teaching contradictory
views. Furthermore, because of what SDAs teach about the United States
government, they should not be allowed to hold public office.
Christian Post
published an article by Sami Martin about Carson’s faith on September 12, 2015.
The following are examples of his contradictory double standards.
Post:
Carson is also well-known for his religious beliefs.
Adventist News Network,
4-5-2013:
ANN: Are
there ever any times when you feel it’s best to distinguish yourself from the
Seventh-day Adventist Church and what it teaches? Carson: No,
I don’t. http://news.adventist.org/all-news/news/go/2013-04-05/church-chat-carson-handles-spotlight-prayerfully-humbly/
Comment:
He has been hiding his SDA elder-teacher doctrines for decades and nobody has researched
and challenged him in this area.
Post:
This Seventh-day Adventist has relied upon his faith from a young age and
continues to do so today.
Comment: Yes, but he speaks opposite words according to his
audience.
Post: Even though he
belongs to the Seventh-day Adventist church, he often attends churches of
different traditions and has said that he appreciates the beliefs of other
faiths.
Kelly: Sincere SDAs would not say this. SDAs
call Roman Catholics the antichrist beast of Revelation 13 and the great whore
of Revelation 17. They call Protestants the daughters of the great whore. SDA
pastors join ecumenical pastoral fellowships to convert them; they hide their
real doctrines. Carson worships with what his church calls false believers who
worship on Sunday, the mark of the antichrist beast. [Rev 14:8]
Carson: "I'm not convinced that the
denomination is the most important thing."
Kelly: This is either a very great delusion or else a deliberate
lie. SDAs teach that they exclusively are the only true church and everybody
else is harlot Babylon or its harlot daughters. Read The Great Controversy, pages 615-616.
Carson: “… it's the relationship with God that's most
important."
Comment: This is contrary to SDA doctrine. If Carson believes this
is true, then he needs to publicly renounce both Seventh-day Adventism as a
false exclusive cult and publicly disagree with Ellen G. White.
Carson: "As a Christian, I am not the least bit offended by
the beliefs of Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, Mormons and so forth. In fact, I am
delighted to know that they believe in something that is more likely to make
them into a reasonable human being, as long as they don't allow their religion
to be distorted by those seeking power and wealth." America the
Beautiful, 2012.
Comment: No SDA leader or even church elder-teacher would be
allowed to publicly say this without suffering great discipline from his/her
SDA church and even denominational leaders! As a former SDA pastor I know
better. A lesser member would have been punished long ago. SDAs teach that only
Sabbath-keeping SDAs will be saved in the last days.
Post: Carson believes that
religious practices should be respected across the country so long as they do
not limit or infringe upon the rights of others and links religious
"persecution" in America to acts of persecution from abroad.
Comment: SDAs are urged to anticipate religious persecution from
everybody else because the last-day great tribulations will be blamed on them. SDAs
see themselves as targets of a death decree for not worshipping on Sunday. Read
The Great Controversy, 626, below.
Carson: “… ensuring that no one's beliefs infringe upon those of
others."
Comment: This is radically contrary to SDA marching orders. It is
their mission to convert as many as possible to Saturday worship before the
mark of the beast is imposed upon themselves.
Carson: “… as long as there's more than one force,
you are not going to have one force dominating everything. I do believe that
will eventually be the case, but it's not the case now.”
Comment: SDAs teach one world government and one world church
dominated by Satan and antichrist immediately through apostate Roman
Catholicism and apostate Protestants before Jesus returns to rescue
Sabbath-keepers from their death decree.
Read The Great Controversy, pages
615-616, below.
Carson: “To try to impose one's religious beliefs on someone else
is absolutely what we should not be doing.
Comment: This is exactly opposite what SDAs teach. It is the
mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, of which Carson is a local elder
and Sabbath-school teacher, to convert as many as possible to Sabbath-keeping
to save them.
Ben Carson cannot have it both ways. Again, he must either repudiate
all of his public evangelical statements or else publicly renounce Seventh-day
Adventism and Ellen G. White. He cannot continue to teach one belief system to
his SDA church on Saturday and another to the non-SDA world at large. God hates
liars.
THE FALSE PROPHET U.S.A.
Ben
Carson and Seventh-day Adventists Call the United States of America a False
Prophet of Roman Catholic Antichrist
Fact
#1: The most important “inspired” book of Seventh-day Adventism beyond the
Bible is Prophetess Ellen G. White’s The
Great Controversy. Carson must be very much familiar of this book. It is
quoted often in SDA literature and Sabbath-school quarterlies.
Fact
#2: The Great Controversy teaches
that a last-day “antichrist beast” Roman Catholic Church and the “false
prophet” United States Government will unite to kill Seventh-day Adventists
(Revelation 13 all). See pages 440, 445, 448, 449, 573, 604, 605, 615, 616,
626.
Ben
Carson cannot disagree with Ellen G. White and remain a Seventh-day Adventist. Therefore
Ben Carson is anti-Roman Catholic, anti-Protestant and anti-U. S. Government! You
can read this yourself from The Great
Controversy at any SDA Church, or you can read the excerpts below from my
web site http://tithing-russkelly.com/sda/id37.html
Seventh-day Adventists are taught to fear and distrust the Roman
Catholic Church, all other Protestants and, especially, the United States
government itself.
Fact #3: SDAs are taught that the U. S.
Government is the false prophet for the antichrist beast Roman Catholic Church
in Revelation 13:11-18.
GC440: One nation, and only one, meets
the specifications of this prophecy [Rev. 13:11-18]; it points unmistakably to
the United States of America.
Fact #4: SDAs
are taught that, in the last days, churches in the U. S. A. will unite to
enforce Sunday worship and oppose Saturday-Sabbath worshippers.
GC445: “WHEN the leading churches of the
United States, uniting in such points of doctrine as are held by them in
common, shall influence the state to enforce their decrees and to sustain their
institutions, THEN Protestant America will have formed an image to the Roman
hierarchy, and the inflictions of civil penalties upon dissenters inevitably
result.” [Revelation 13:14-18]
Fact #5: SDAs teach that forced Sunday
worship will unite Roman Catholics and Protestants as Babylon and her
daughters.
GC448-449: “The enforcement of Sunday
keeping on the part of the Protestant churches is an enforcement of the worship
of the papacy the beast. ... hence the enforcement of Sunday keeping in the
United States would be an enforcement of the worship of the beast and his
image.”[Rev 13:14-15; 14:1-12; 17 all]
Fact #6: SDAs teach they will eventually
enlighten every person on earth about the obligation to worship on Saturday. Afterwards
Sunday worshippers will receive the mark of the beast. "Which day of the
week to worship?" is a salvation doctrine.
GC449: “But when Sunday observance shall
be enforced by law, and the world shall be enlightened concerning the
obligation of the true Sabbath, then whoever shall transgress the command of
God to obey a precept which has no higher authority than that of Rome, will
thereby honor popery above God. He is
paying homage to Rome and to the
power which embraces the institution ordained by Rome. He is
worshiping the beast and his image. As men then reject the institution which
God has declared to be the sign of His authority, and honor in its stead that
which Rome has chosen as the token of her supremacy, they will thereby accept
the sign of allegiance to Rome – ‘the mark of the beast.’ And it is not until this issue is thus
plainly set before the people and they are brought to choose between the
commandments of God and the commandments of men, that those who continue in
transgression will receive “the mark of the beast.” [Rev 13:14-18]
Fact #7: SDAs teach that U. S.
Protestants will gain government support for enforced Sunday worship. This
action will result in the U. S. A. being ruled by apostate antichrist Roman
Catholicism.
GC573: “In
the movements now in progress in the United States to secure for the
institutions and usages of the church the support of the state, Protestants are
following in the steps of papists. Nay, more they are opening the door for the
papacy to regain in Protestant America the
supremacy which she has lost in the Old World. And that which gives greater
significance to this movement is the fact that the principle object
contemplated is the enforcement of Sunday observance --- a custom which originated with Rome, and which she claims as the sign of
her authority.”
Fact #8: SDAs
teach that apostate Roman Catholicism and apostate Protestantism will fight SDA
Sabbath-keepers and set a date for them to be killed. [Rev. 13:15]
GC604a: “Fearful is the issue to which
the world is to be brought. The powers of earth, uniting to war against the
commandments of God, will decree that "all, both small and great, rich and
poor, free and bond" (Revelation 13:16), shall conform to the customs of the church by the observance of
the false Sabbath. All who refuse compliance will be visited with civil
penalties, and it will finally be declared that they are deserving of death. On
the other hand the law of God enjoining the Creator's rest day demands
obedience and threatens wrath against all who transgress its precepts....”
Fact #9: SDAs teach that the last-day tribulation plagues,
starvation and planet upheavals will be blamed on SDA Sabbath-keepers for not
worshipping on Sunday.
GC614: “Those who honor the law of God
have been accused of bringing judgments upon the world, and they will be
regarded as the cause of the fearful convulsions of nature and the strife and
bloodshed among men that are filling the earth with woe.”
Fact #10: SDAs teach that Sunday
worshippers in the last days will not be saved.
GC604b: “With the issue thus clearly
brought before him, whoever shall trample upon God’s law to obey a human
enactment [Sunday] receives the mark of the beast; he accepts the sign
of allegiance to the power he chooses to obey instead of God.”
Fact #11: SDAs teach that
Saturday-Sabbath worship is the great test of loyalty and salvation, not the
gospel of Jesus Christ.
GC605: “The Sabbath will be the great
test of loyalty, for it is the point of truth especially controverted. When the
final test shall be brought to bear upon men, then the line of distinction will
be drawn between those who serve God and those who serve Him not. While the observance of the false Sabbath
[Sunday] in compliance with the law of the state, contrary to the fourth
commandment, will be an avowal of allegiance to a power that is in opposition
to God, the keeping of the true Sabbath, in obedience to God's law, is an
evidence of loyalty to the Creator.
While one class, by accepting the sign of submission to earthly powers,
receives the mark of the beast, the other, choosing the token of allegiance to
divine authority, receives the seal of God.” [Only SDAs can be saved in the
last days.]
Fact #12: SDAs teach that apostate Roman
Catholicism and apostate Protestantism will issue a death decree for
Saturday-Sabbath keepers.
GC615-616: “This argument will appear conclusive;
and a DECREE will finally be issued against those who hallow the Sabbath of the
fourth commandment, denouncing them as deserving of the severest punishment and
giving the people liberty, after a certain time, to put them to DEATH. Romanism
in the Old World and apostate Protestantism in the New will pursue a similar
course toward those who honor all the divine precepts.” [Rev 13:16-18]
Fact #13: SDAs teach that governments
will not protect Saturday-Sabbath keepers from the death decree. They will flee
from the cities and villages and associate toget6her in companies, dwelling in
the most desolate and solitary places.
GC626: “As the decree issued by the
various rulers of Christendom against commandment keepers shall withdraw the
protection of government and abandon them to those who desire their
destruction, the people of God will flee from the cities and villages and
associate toget6her in companies, dwelling in the most desolate and solitary
places.” [They hide from society.]
FINAL COMMENTS by Russell Earl Kelly,
PHD
Yet, after all this, SDAs insist in their pamphlet, who are the
Seventh-day Adventists?, page 6, “So who are [we] really? Are [we] some strange group with weird ideas?
Do [our] leaders make bizarre
predictions about the future?”
“Yes” and “Yes” again! SDAs want others to see them as calm normal
lovable huggable Christians whose main difference is that they worship on
Saturday instead of Sunday. They do not want to be exposed as an exclusive cult
which alone will be saved because they worship on Saturday.
Again, Ben Carson is an elder and teacher in this exclusive cult.
If he does not agree with what SDAs teach openly in The Great Controversy, then Ben Carson should openly and publicly
renounce Seventh-day Adventism and its prophetess, Ellen G. White.
The Seventh-day Adventist doctrine [the Mark of the Beast to
Sunday worshippers supported by the U. S. government] makes SDAs untrustworthy
and UNQUALIFIED as U. S. legislators, soldiers or as persons in responsible
government positions. They are clearly anti-U. S. A.
